As an Associate Attorney with the firm, Michael O’Brien focuses much of his practice on residential real estate transactions and conveyancing. He is also a licensed real estate broker in Massachusetts and assists clients in purchasing and selling real estate. 

Before joining Scafidi Juliano, Michael spent ten years at the Law Office of Ganick, O'Brien & Sarin in Dorchester, Massachusetts. While there, he focused his practice on consumer and commercial debt recovery and collections, civil litigation, residential and commercial real estate transactions, Landlord-Tenant matters, probate and family law, and business law formations.

Michael works hard to help clients with a variety of legal issues and appreciates meeting all kinds of people through his work. He is an active member in several networking groups and maintains a strong network of trusted colleagues. Michael resides outside of Boston, Massachusetts, with his wife and three children. In his free time, he is a volunteer coach in his community and enjoys boating, fishing, skiing, exercising, and spending time with family and friends. 

What is a charity that you feel passionate about?
Tommy’s Place-added Tommy’s place is a unique organization.  Tommy’s place provides families who has a child diagnosed with cancer a one week Cape Cod vacation for free in a resort style converted inn. Tommy’s place strives to bring joy to families going through difficult times. 

What is the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?
Do not be lazy. I know this seems simple, but it applies to all walks of life.  If you work hard at all you do in both your professional life and personal life you will succeed at both.  I try to instill this in my children every day.

What is your favorite quote?
The greatest glory in living lies not in never falling but in rising every time we fall.
